ABOUT US

We have been married for 5 years and adopted Bella shortly after we said “I Do”.  Bella made our life complete.  We love to travel and Bella is the best travel companion we could ask for.  After both of Erin's passed shortly after one another our bond with Bella became even stronger. We have always been close to her, but had no idea we could love her more than we already did. We take Bella with to as many places as we can and she even goes to work with Mike every day. We hate to leave Bella behind when we travel and have taken her to Park City, Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, Sun Valley, Moab among other cities and are very excited to travel with her to as many other destinations.  Everywhere we go we talk to the locals to find out what they like to do with their dogs. Other tourists even stop to ask us what they can do with their dogs in every city we have traveled to.

We were destined to be together.  We met when we were 21 in Salt Lake City, UT and found out on our third date that our mom’s were friends in high school in Cleveland, OH. Our parents continued to be friends when they both moved to Utah and spent time with each other when we were younger, but lost touch over the years until we started dating.   We even had our first kiss with each other on Mike’s first birthday.  We dated for a month before Erin moved to New York City to get a degree in Fashion Merchandising.  During this time we kept in touch and once Erin graduated she moved back home and we dated for 8 more years before getting married. We still live in Salt Lake City, UT and work in Park City.  Mike owns a local business and Erin works as a director of an art gallery as well as a host on the local television station.

Bella was adopted  from Mile High Lab Rescue in Denver, CO.  We knew we wanted a golden doodle and Erin insisted on rescuing. We reached out to a handful of rescue centers to let them know what type of dog we wanted and when Mile High got back to us with pictures of Bella we knew she was the perfect addition to our family.  Mike drove to Denver to pick up Bella and bring her to her new home.  There are so many beautiful dogs like Bella who are available for adoption, but several people do not know that you can adopt a pure bred opposed to finding one from a breeder.  One of the purposes of the show is to help make people aware that there are great animals like Bella that need to be rescued and show them where they can adopt.

The objective of Pawcation is to show people that you can travel with your pet.   We have been inspired by John Steinbeck's famous novel, Travel With Charley and believe it is Travels With Charley for the 21st century. So many people have “fur babies” and want to take them when they travel and Pawcation will help them do that as well as help rescue animals across the country.
